Hasbro revealed the Star Wars Retro Collection at New York Toy Fair 2019 where there were seven figures on display including Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia Organa, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper and Grand Moff Tarkin! Click here to read more...
The Star Wars Retro Collection figures are faithful reproductions of original Kenner 3.75" figures which were made in the late 70's to the mid 1980's, you can find them archived on J.B. here: Vintage Star Wars Figures. The Star Wars Retro Collection packaging was given a used look with a big red sticker on it which made it very easy to differentiate them from original Kenner figures. Each figure was also updated with modern production markings on the back of the legs and there were minor but noticeable differences in the accessories (have a look at each figure entry for details).
To celebrate the launch of the Star Wars Retro Collection Hasbro sent out an envelope in the style of the 1977 Early Bird Kit which included reproductions of vintage 1977 Star Wars stickers, you can look at it here.
The first press images which were sent out out media outlets can be found here: Star Wars Retro Collection Media Images.
