Fellow collector and J.B. reader Owen Brown found a difference between the single carded Range Trooper from the Force Link 2.0 series and the multipack Range Trooper figure from the Mission On Vandor-1 4-pack. If you look closely at the chest plate you'll notice that the single carded figure has a small black stripe painted on it while the figure from the multipack has a blue stripe instead.

TheDigitalBits.com posted that retail and industry sources have informed them that Disney & Lucasfilm's Solo: A Star Wars Story will arrive on Blu-ray & 4K Ultra HD on 9/25. The official announcement will be coming soon.
If you want to get the 3D version of the movie you will have to import it from outside of the United States, because it looks as if the 4K and BluRay/DVD/Digital versions will be the only formats the movie will be released on in the United States.
If Hasbro follows their own template from the past few years, we should see the rumored Star Wars action figure 4-pack around the same time.

A few weeks ago an image made the rounds online of a The Last Jedi multipack in SOLO: A Star Wars Story toy line packaging. The special about this set was the included holographic Maz Kanata figure.

It looks like we have a new favorite actress! Thandie Newton wore a custom Vivienne Westwood Couture gown, printed with images of Thandie’s personal Star Wars action figure collection at the Cannes Film Festival. Each character was photographed by Christian Hogstedt and was layered over the iconic Vivienne Westwood ‘Absence of Roses’ print. For the full article take a look at Red Carpet Fashion Awards!
It's amazing to see such a high-profile actress show her love for Star Wars action figures while attending the SOLO: A Star Wars Story film premiere in France at the Cannes Film Festival. The figures which we've made out are Saw Gerrera, Finn, a Kenner Skiff Guard Lando and Captain Panaka!
Stephen Hayford has published some images of the brand new 3.75" Moloch figure on his Facebook page, which were also shared to our Toy Run Podcast community. Our friends at Fantha Tracks have learned that Hasbro's version of Han Solo's M-68 landspeeder is a copy of an art department concept design by Neil Ellis and not a copy of the actual model used in Solo: A Star Wars Story! Neil Ellis is a concept model maker and costume FX prop maker working for Lucasfilm. You can follow him on his Instagram account and make sure to check out the entire story at Fantha Tracks!

As Star Wars fans and collectors we've been conditioned over the years to go out and support our favorite franchise on day one. When StarWars.com announced on April 9, 2018 that Solo: A Star Wars Story products would hit stores beginning on April 13, 2018, that meant one thing: time to go on a toy run and hunt for Star Wars figures and memorabilia of the up-coming movie!
Dating back to 1999, Star Wars toy launches have always been special. Toys'R'Us celebrated the arrival of Star Wars toys with midnight events for The Phantom Menace, Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith. Big stores such as Walmart even had tents set up for Star Wars toys in their parking lots in 2005 with exclusive Revenge Of The Sith toys, and Target stores opened early the day after to hand out tickets for exclusive Lava Darth Vader figures. Even the Clone Wars movie in 2008 saw wide support in brick and mortar stores with yet again midnight events and fans dressing up and standing in line to get their hands on brand new Star Wars toys first.
In 2015 when The Force Awakens toys came out, Target and TRU stores opened their doors at midnight again, with many Walmart stores playing along as well. Disney made this event even bigger than during prequel times by making Force Friday a global event, this included a 24 hour live toy unboxing on YouTube! To give you an idea just how big the toy launch was for The Force Awakens have a look at our coverage, we did a podcast about it, had readers send in pictures, we had a correspondent in Japan covering Force Friday, we even received a picture of Oscar Isaac's uncle standing in line for Star Wars toys).
Amazon has listed all new Star Wars action figures for Solo: A Star Wars Story. This includes Hasbro's 6" Black Series line and the 3.75" Force Link 2.0 toy line:
This morning Hasbro announced a brand new Chewbacca figure for their Black Series 6" line. The figure will be available in Spring 2018 exclusively at Target stores. The price stays the same as regular Black Series figures at $19.99. Good luck on your toy runs!
Bandai has announced brand new S.H. Figuarts 6" figures of Chewbacca and the Mimban Stormtrooper from Solo: A Star Wars Story! Both figures will be available in June 2018 at regular retail stores in Japan, which should keep the cost lower for collectors who want to import them to the United States.
Chewbacca comes with a second head sculpt, a blaster and goggles. The Stormtrooper (Mimban) figure comes with two blasters. Have a look at the images below.
No Toys'R'Us, no Midnight Madness, no Force Friday and apparently no Wookiee Friday ... BUT ThinkGeek stores will open on Friday the 13th, 2018 at 9am to sell SOLO toys! Local stores are currently advertising their events via Facebook. Check with your local store to make sure that they are participating!
