  • This Carbonized Darth Vader action figure was released in August 2020 exclusively at Amazon.com
  • This release was another 40th Empire Strikes Back tribue figure which featured the 40th Anniversary logo on the packaging
  • Because Amazon.com wasn't ready to take pre-orders on the advertised day, Hasbro's online store Hasbro Pulse stepped in and sold a handful of Carbonized Vader figures to help fans out
  • Darth Vader is a re-work and re-paint of the 40th Anniversary Black Series Darth Vader figure from 2017
  • The neck area was re-designed so that the helmet sits a little higher than before
  • Hasbro also re-sculpted the helmet and made the chin vent bigger than on the previous release to match it to the Empire Strikes Back!
  • The chest box was also re-sculpted to match the Empire Strikes Back Vader costume better, it is now smaller but deeper than the ANH version
  • Vader's lightsaber comes with a removable red blade
  • Once the blade is taken off the hilt it can be hung from a hook on Darth Vader's belt
  • The figure is able to hold the lightsaber well in both hands
  • There is no head underneath the helmet
  • It's possible to pop the head off and remove the outer and inner soft-goods robes
  • Darth Vader was sculpted very well, the re-designed helmet and the differently sized chest box to fit the Empire Strikes Back better is much appreciated!
  • The inner robe is now tucked-away underneath the chest armor, which is another Vader costume change between ANH and ESB, and it's remarkable that Hasbro caught this and implemented it into the figure!
  • The shiny blue color makes this figure stand out on any shelf
  • The inner and outer soft-goods robes might look bulky in the images, but it feels and looks just right in person
  • Hasbro gave Vader the correct height and he stands about one head taller than a regular 6" Star Wars action figure in The Black Series
  • The figure stands well on display even in more dynamic poses

Once a heroic Jedi Knight, Darth Vader was seduced by the dark side of the Force, became a Sith Lord, and led the Empire's eradication of the Jedi Order.
