  • This RA-7 Protocol Droid was released in a 4-pack together with a BB-Unit, R2 astromech droid and C1 astromech droid
  • The set was available on opening day of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland, CA on May 31, 2019
  • This droid changes colors based on the temperature, it can be displayed black (cold) or blue (warm)
  • The color change can be achieved by either dipping the droid in cold or warm water, or by simply placing it in a freezer or rubbing it with your hands to warm the figure up
  • The figure's original color when it was still in its packaging was black, that's why we photographed it in its black color for the website entry
  • To see what this droid looks like when the color has changed, look at the comparison picture here
  • The recommended temperature mentioned on the packaging for the color change to occur is 86° to 107.6° Fahrenheit (30° - 42° Celsius) and 32° - 64° Fahrenheit (0° - 18° Celsius)
  • Once the droid's color has changed it will remain in this color, however, if you have it displayed with the color tone in its cold state, and you touch it to adjust the pose or move it, you will likely warm up the figure accidentially because of your body temperature and as a result the color will change on the droid where you touched it
  • For this figure Disney used their build-a-droid sculpt, this allows for the droid to be taken apart into the head, 2 arms, the upper body and two legs
  • There were no accessories included with this Death Star Droid
  • The droid isn't able to hold anything in its hands
  • The figure stands well on display without balancing problems
  • Having droids change colors is a fun and interesting concept and makes this figure unique from other 3.75" regularly released droid figures

All different types of droids populate the galaxy. Each droid is different and has their own unique personality and colors. These droids have the special ability to change color!
