  • This Luke Skywalker (Death Star Escape) was released in May 2019 exclusively at Target stores
  • The figure is a re-work of the Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper) figure from 2015
  • This time around Hasbro gave Luke Skywalker a new head sculpt and new weathering on the armor
  • Hasbro paid attention to details and gave Luke a differently molded belt with a non-removable grappling hook in the back
  • The commlink can be clipped onto the belt
  • Luke is able to hold the commlink but it feels too small
  • The Stormtrooper helmet is a nice fit
  • The Stormtrooper armor doesn't have a hole in the back (as seen in almost all releases of the Black Series 6" Stormtroopers up to 2019)
  • The blaster is an OK fit for the holster
  • The figure can hold the Imperial blaster well in each hand
  • The neck seal is part of the figure and can't be taken off (unlike on the Han Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise)
  • Luke is a bit shorter than Han Solo
  • Hasbro used the photo real face printing technology on the face and it looks fantasic in person
  • The dirty paint application was mainly applied to the front with only a few spots in the back
  • As with every figure in our system you can compare it side by side, here is the Luke Skywalker comparison
  • For a high resolution image of what the 2015 and the 2019 versions of the 6" Black Series Luke Skywalker figures look like next to each other have a look here: Black Series Luke Skywalkers
  • Hasbro included a display stand with Luke which works OK but not great, you have to press the shoe into the foot holder hard for it to stay in place
  • Luke Skywalker (Death Star Escape) keeps his balance nicely on his own

In a brave attempt to rescue Princess Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker disguises himself as an Imperial Stormtrooper and infiltrates the detention center of the Death Star.
