The Power Of The Force toy line started in the Summer of 1995 and ran for five years until 2000. Even though the first few figures looked too buff and muscular, the line was well received by collectors. For the very first time, Kenner/Hasbro released figures such as Princess Leia in Slave Outfit, a Governor Tarkin, a Sandtrooper, Mon Mothma and Han Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise! The line also demonstrated how sculpting techniques had improved since the vintage days, especially impressive was the direct comparison between the 1980 and 1997 BOSSK figures.
