KPR Security Droid Review

This KPR Security Droid figure was released during the Legacy Collection's basic line-up in October/November 2009 packed-in together with a Jawa figure. The droid can be spotted in A New Hope inside the Sandcrawler, and when uncle Owen purchases R2-D2 and C-3PO from the Jawas.

The droid's only movable part is the dome which can be rotated 360 degrees. The bottom of the droid has four wheels which let you navigate the droid around your diorama to keep the perimeter secure. The sculpt is nicely done with lots of details on the dome and the overall look appears to be very close to what was seen in A New Hope.

The paint job is cleanly applied, but you would expect some dirt on the droid especially since he's fairly close to the ground. Unfortunately there is no weathering of any kind on the figure. All in all, this KPR Security Droid is nice, especially since it'll compliment your "Purchase Of The Droids" set-up well. Sure, the figure could have been better, but considering that KPR was more or less a bonus accessory packed together with a Jawa figure, there is little to complain about here.
